Almost every day, there is a new headline about a teacher teaching children confusing and often incorrect ideologies such as the belief that children should be able to identify as whatever gender they choose, and that they should keep their new gender a secret from their parents. And this back to school season, it's only getting worse.
As parents, we carry a sense of uncertainty in the future of our country, of our way of life, and of the world our children will grow up in. One of the biggest narratives that helps grow this uncertainty we have is that gender is not binary, that men can be women, and women can be men. In schools, it has been normalized to have pride flags instead of American flags, some teachers are also teaching children that boys can be girls, and that you have to accept and agree with it.
In a world that no longer stands behind the universal truth that men are men and women are women, our children are the most affected. When the lines between good and evil, right and wrong, and lies and truth are blurred in the minds of our children, there is no foundation that they can build their worldview on so they are easy prey to harmful ideologies.
Eph 4:14 “so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and from by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.”
A foundation of lies will inevitably crumble and fall, but the truth will always prevail. If society refuses to recognize the truth, we must make it irrefutable through the example we set for our future generations. At BRAVE, we believe in taking the narrow road and using the podium we have been given to use our voices and our reach to further the mission of equipping parents and families with the resources they need to come against these dangerous narratives.
