Toys get outgrown. A hero stays with a boy for life.

01
A mission, not another toy

Germany has gone back in time, erased 10 real American heroes, and won WWII. Brothers Cash and Cutter have to learn each hero’s true story to set history right, one book at a time.

02
Every hero is real

Pappy Gunn packed B-25 bombers with machine guns while his wife and four kids were held in an enemy internment camp. Lafayette Pool went through three Sherman tanks in 1944. Lyle Bouck's eighteen men held a ridge against a German battalion until dark.

03
Keep the glory (not the guts)

We partnered with Nic Flood to bring real stories from WWII to life, with an important catch; keep the action, but leave out the dark stuff. These books are content- and language-appropriate for young eyes and ears.

The only world Cash and Cutter Bridger have ever known is one where the Axis Powers prevailed, and America is ruled by a repressive regime. That is, until their father leaves them a time-traveling tape player and 10 tapes - each transporting them into the stories of the 10 heroes that the enemy erased to turn the tide of history.

Their mission: travel back, witness what really happened, and restore these heroes before they’re lost forever. Ace fighter pilots. Tank commanders. Soldiers who did the impossible. Every tape pulls the boys deeper into battles and moments that were supposed to be forgotten, and every hero they bring back weakens the enemy’s grip on the present.

But with a shadowy network of both allies and enemies closing in, Cash and Cutter will have to be as brave as the heroes on the tapes, because the closer they get to finishing the mission, the more dangerous it becomes…

The premise

Germany won the war
by erasing ten men.

Ninety-five percent of these books is true history about real American heroes. The other five percent is the twist: in this timeline the Germans went back and took ten of them off the board before they could matter.

Two kids have to learn everything about those men — really learn it — to go back and put them where they belong.
