About the Author

Riley Gaines

Riley Gaines is a women’s rights activist, speaker, and 12-time All-American swimmer from the University of Kentucky, where she was also a two-time Olympic Trial Qualifier and five-time SEC Champion. A nationally recognized advocate for fairness and American values, Gaines regularly appears in national media, speaks across the country, and meets with lawmakers to defend opportunities for women and girls. She is the author of Swimming Against the Current, Happy No Snakes Day, and her newest children’s book with BRAVE Books, 1, 2, 3, We Are Free!
