Dr. Ben Carson is a world-renowned neurosurgeon, bestselling author, and former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Raised by a single mother in inner-city Detroit, Dr. Carson overcame tremendous adversity to become Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital at just 33 years old, the youngest in the hospital's history.
