Well worth it
"The series is really picking up! I have now bought every treasure box, and they are well worth the price. My seven-year-old daughter loves getting the Treasure boxes. With activity books, puzzles, this one had a craft, stickers, and other fun extras like the mustaches for a disguise in this box, and the magnifying glass in the third box, these boxes are all serious treasures. My daughter had so much fun disguising herself and pretending to hunt for clues like Seymore. The books themselves have wonderful truths in them, and they’re more relevant than Aesop’s Fables. I just read Saga 4, book 8 to my daughter tonight, and it is on patience and self-control. The wonderful thing is that she asked if we could talk about the book afterwards. The books aren’t pointing fingers at kids like, ‘You need to use self-control because the Bible says to!’ Instead they use examples of what the characters in the books did and help my kids to be introspective without feeling blamed. The Bible verses at the end reinforce the lesson and help kids to have a practical understanding of of what the scripture is saying based on their favorite BRAVE characters. Even my special needs son who is intellectually disabled joins us for time with these books, asks questions, and understands the lessons being taught. I often feel like things like this exclude children with disabilities with concepts that go over their heads. These books are not that way, and we modify the games a little, but the games help reinforce the lesson. I cannot recommend these books enough, and the Treasure Box is a perfect gift to have extra items that go alongside the books. Saga 4 has even me biting my nails wanting to know what will happen to the characters next. I took the books to read at my daughter’s school during reading week and even took items for the game, and one of the all-boys classes wanted to know if I could come back and read more. They really liked Black Heart and Arthur as well as the game. If you can, these Treasure Boxes are well worth the investment. All of them are well worth it. The boxes themselves are beautiful, and I have them all stored together. My daughter wants to keep them. The books are a saga. There are some stand-alone books, but the majority build on previous books. Start with Saga 1 or you won’t understand most of Saga 4. If you’re a teacher, create a BRAVE corner with the maps, the invitation from Arthur that talks, the secret message from Black Heart, and the puzzles and items. The kids will love it!"
